Our Legacy

Established in 1931

Community State Bank came into existence in 1931 in the town of Avilla, Indiana. The organizers were mostly local merchants and farmers. Religious and civic leaders, recognizing the need for a local bank, entered into the movement. Community State Bank now has four locations in Avilla, Kendallville, Albion and Auburn.

It is important we offer the latest in technology, while still maintaining the safe, secure services of the past. Community State Bank has experienced solid growth through the years, remained conservative and built a reputation as a strong, fiscally sound institution.

Since 1931 we have remained one of a few locally owned and operated community banks. It is important to us that we provide you with the products and services of a large bank and the individual attention you would expect from a community bank. We have a welcoming staff you can trust to help you meet your financial needs and strive to offer you a product that fits your lifestyle.

If you are not already one of our valued customers, we want you to be. We will give you the satisfying banking experience you want and deserve. You will find a unified team of caring professionals that believe together we can exceed the expectations and needs of our customers.
